A straw is a small line item, but it is part of every cold drink you serve. Bars, cafes and smoothie shops each ask something different of it. Here is what works for each, using the straws we make in our Santa Ana, California factory.
Bars and cocktail lounges
Behind the bar, speed and presentation matter most. Unwrapped cocktail straws (5.5 in) and cocktail stirrer straws (4.75 in) are quick to grab and sit neatly in rocks glasses. For frozen cocktails and highballs, a giant cocktail straw (5.75 in) has a wider bore that handles slushy drinks. Black straws look sharp against most cocktails and do not distract from the garnish.

Coffee shops and cafes
Iced coffee and tea are the workhorses. A jumbo straw (7.75 in x 0.24 in) fits most 16 to 20 oz cups; a super jumbo (8.5 in) is the better fit for large iced drinks. Paper wrapped straws keep self-serve stations clean, and a printed wrapper puts your logo in every to-go order.

Smoothie and juice shops
Thick drinks need a wide bore. A giant straw (10.25 in x 0.27 in) suits tall cups, and our smoothie straws are made to the length your cups need. Bendy straws are a favorite for kids' smoothies. Smoothie shops go through straws fast, so it helps that we can hold your stock at no extra cost and ship as you need it.

Every format, one supplier
All of these straws are made in the USA, in our own factory, in white, black, green or a custom color, wrapped or unwrapped. You can order direct or through the foodservice distributor you already use.
