Most bendy straws sold in the United States are made overseas. That is not because bendy straws are hard to use. It is because they are hard to make: the flexible neck needs a dedicated bending machine, and very few of those machines run anywhere in the U.S.
One of them now runs on our line in Santa Ana, California. This fall we started extruding, bending and packing bendy straws in our own factory, 15 minutes from John Wayne Airport.

How a bendy straw gets made
- Resin. BASF ecovio resin pellets arrive at our Santa Ana factory.
- Extrusion. We profile extrude the pellets into a continuous straw tube and cut it to length.
- Bending. The bending machine forms the ribbed, flexible neck on each straw.
- Printing and wrapping. Straws are packed unwrapped, or sealed in a paper wrapper that can carry your logo.
- Packing and warehousing. We pack by the pack or the case and can hold your stock at no extra cost until you need it.
Why made in the USA matters for straw buyers
Shorter, steadier lead times. Your straws ship from California by truck, not by ocean freight, so a delay at a port does not become a shortage at your drink station.
A supplier you can visit. Our factory is in Orange County. Buyers can see the line, check samples and talk to the people who make their straws.
Custom work without the wait. Custom straw colors and printed wrappers are easier to plan when production is a short drive away.

What we make
Our bendy straw is 7.63 inches long, in white, black, green or a custom color, wrapped in paper or unwrapped, in packs of 200 or cases of 2,500. Alongside it we make straight straws in cocktail, jumbo, super jumbo, giant and smoothie sizes, plus stirrers.
Bendy straws matter more than most people think. Kids menus, hospitals and senior living communities depend on them every day, and bars and cafes use them to make a drink look finished.
